About
the Process
As an illustrator my philosophy is to make the
architecture, art or landscape architecture feel as human
as possible. Not only through the illustration of the idea
but also through the technique. I can be involved during any
stage of the design process. I have developed sketches from
the simplest of bubble diagrams or from highly detailed plans
and elevations. It is this ability to "create on the
run" or help a client develop an idea as I draw it three
dimensionally that I feel sets myself apart from most illustrators.
The media I work in varies from marker, colored
pencil, or watercolor, and is often a mix of two or more.
Media can depend on timeline and the feeling wanting to be
conveyed from the drawing. Perspectives are generally set
up via the computer, but I also will draw into photographs,
or even use a perspective chart it just depends on the illustration
and timeline.
